Design Week Portland presents "Design Rocks," a multimedia concert and art show tribute to David Bowie's iconic Ziggy Stardust character on Friday night. If you're a Bowie fan, get your tickets now, as they're selling fast.

The multimedia exhibit brings together a full Bowie tribute band, Dr. Spaceman, lights and projections, interactive surprises, and an art show:  "At the Altar of a Starman: A Poster Art Tribute to Ziggy Stardust," featuring 31 poster artists from around the world presenting their interpretations of Bowie's Ziggy Stardust.

Dr. Spaceman, Portland’s Ziggy-era David Bowie tribute band, features a cast of musicians "bent on bringing Bowie’s early-'70s glam sound to the stage," according to 'Design Rocks.'

The show will be held at Refuge PDX, 116 Southeast Yamhill St., in Portland on Friday, Oct. 10. The poster art exhibit opens at 7 p.m., and the concert begins at 9 p.m.

The poster art exhibit is open to the public at Refuge PDX Oct. 10-Nov. 16, as well as online now through Dec. 5. Posters are available for purchase online.

Design Week Portland is a weeklong series of interactive events and installations showcasing design in the city, and ends Saturday, Oct. 11.
