Sculptors Gallery Hosts Grand Opening at Pioneer Place Mall
Wednesday, May 13, 2015
Featuring some of the most talented sculptors in the Pacific Northwest (PNW), Sculptors Gallery is the project of Pacific Northwest Sculptors, a Portland-based non-profit.
The gallery provides over 150 PNW sculptors the chance to display and sell their work in addition to offering “a deeper public understanding of the diversity and sophistication of the regional arts community,” said George Heath, the president of PNW Sculptors.
Sculptors Gallery fills their 3,000 square-foot space with art made from steel, bronze, clay, found objects, and many more materials.
The art also is available for purchase and vary in price from $7.50 to $17,000, according to Carole Murphy, the past president of PNW Sculptors. Ranging from realism to contemporary art, the gallery offers something for everyone regardless of budget or artistic tastes.
If you can’t make the opening night, the gallery’s regular hours and days of operation are Thursday through Sunday, from 12pm to 6pm.
Sculptors Gallery, Pioneer Place Mall, 700 SW Fifth Ave (503) 235-7233.
