Third Annual Portland Fashion and Style Awards Preview

Emerging fashion designers, boutique owners and beauty experts will be acknowledged this year for their achievements, dedication, and contributions to the Portland community.
Nearly 95 members of the local fashion community are finalists in categories such as Best Hair Stylist, Best Accessory Designer, Best Menswear Designer, and Most Fashionable Local Female Actress.
Portland boutique Adorn, which recently opened a new SE Division store, is a finalist for the NE Best Boutique award. Wendy Ohlendorf, who showed a “Metropolis” inspired collection of geometric-print dresses and elaborate brass headpieces, is a People’s Choice finalist for Best Women's Wear Designer. Katana Fatale finalist for Best Plus Size Model, is also a fashion blogger, blues vocalist and actress. Only 24 fashionistas will walk away with an award.
Actor Daniel Baldwin - yes, one of those Baldwins - known for his role in Born on the Fourth of July is scheduled to host the awards with “Project Runway” seventh season winner Seth Aaron, and celebrity fashion designer Yotam Solomon.
Past winners include Clarke Flowers of Option Model and Media, (who strutted down the runway at this year's Portland Fashion Week and FashionNXT) fashion blogger Marjorie Skinner, and fashion photographer Tim VanBergen.
After the award ceremony saxophonist Patrick Lamb will be performing live at the after-party starting at 8 pm.
The 3rd Annual Portland Fashion and Style Awards will be held at the Portland Art Museum, 1219 SW Park Avenue, on November 9, at 6 pm.
