Oregon Has the 4th Lowest Average Monthly Energy Bill in the Nation

Measuring the difference in energy costs in every state and the District of Columbia, WalletHub concluded that Oregon residents have the 4th lowest monthly energy bill in the nation for 2015.
The study summed the total monthly cost of four different sources of energy: electricity, natural gas, motor fuel and home heating oil. WalletHub concluded that the average monthly energy bill for Oregon residents is $261.00 made up of $105.00 to electricity, $28.00 to natural gas, $126.00 to motor fuel and $3.00 to heating oil.
Despite the overall rank of 4, Oregon is 23rd overall for monthly motor fuel costs.
Neighboring Washington beat out Oregon, however, coming in 3rd overall with an average energy bill of $245.00.
