Portland General Electric to Host Workplace Diversity Summit

Portland General Electric (PGE) will host a workplace diversity summit at the Oregon Convention Center on April 7. The summit is designed for managers, human resource professionals, diversity specialists and employees interested in learning more about diversity programs and initiatives in the workplace.

“Companies want new perspectives to help spur innovation and solve problems. The Portland General Electric Diversity Summit helps show them how,” said Arleen Barnett, PGE VP of human resources. “We’re proud to bring leaders from across the U.S. and our region to discuss how diverse thinking helps meet business goals.”

The summit will cover topics ranging from generational differences in the workplace, to talent acquisition and effective leadership skills.

The diversity summit will also feature two keynote speakers who are experts on the topic of diversity: Frans Johansson the bestselling author of “The Medici Effect,” and Bruce Tulgan, the founder of RainmakerThinking

The PGE diversity summit will be hel at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., on Tuesday, April 7. Tickets start at $99 and can be purchased by visiting pgediversitysummit.com or calling 503-226-2377.
