Thrillist just named Oregon as the top state for beer lovers in a list that ranked every state by its brewskis.

Although they admit that the bordering states of California and Washington have more breweries, the reasoning behind Oregon making the top of the list due to a “case of quantity meeting quality head on.” Thrillist gushes that “Portland houses an insurmountable number of great breweries -- not good, pretty good, or wonderful, but effin’ great breweries—that are changing the landscape of modern brewing. Hair of the Dog, Breakside, Cascade, Upright, Ecliptic, the Commons, Burnside, Lompoc... it just keeps going. Even the “crappy” breweries by Portland standards would bury most of their peers based on pure deliciousness."

They cast their net statewide declaring that you’ll “find a great brewpub serving some of the best beer in America, made in Oregon, with Oregon hops, by a bearded Oregonian who’s probably in a band that sucks... that’s the Oregon way. Oregon beer, more than any, has helped introduce the masses to the potential of drinking great brews, and, with new breweries seemingly opening on a weekly basis, it’s the best damn place to be a beer lover in the US.”

And the hits keep coming from ThrillistEarlier this month the man-centric site declared the “21 best strips in America.” Compiled in no particular order, the list features gentleman's clubs from across the country. But the two cities with the largest representation are “Sin City" aka Las Vegas, NV and Portland, OR. The three strip joints that made the list from Portland include the grande dame of all things thongy, Mary’s Club, as well as Acropolis Steakhouse, aka “Acrop” called out for its menu of T-bone steaks, and the “most Portland of all strip clubs” Devil's Point which features Stripperoke and bikini car and dog washes.
