EDITOR’S NOTE: Oregon Birth Weight Story

Wednesday, January 07, 2015

A story published of GoLocalPDX.com on January 5, 2015 under the headline "Oregon Leads Nation in Babies Born with Low Birth Weights,” has been retracted due to an error.

The story asserted that Oregon was among the U.S. states with the highest rates of babies born with low birth weights.  The opposite is the case and Oregon ranks among the states with the lowest rates of underweight babies.

The story was removed from the site on January 6, 2015.  We apologize for error.

We hope to do much better.
