Meatball is a big handsome dog around 3 years old. Don't let his appearance fool you, he's a tender hearted fella. Meatball is quite polite with the lady dogs and loves nothing more then to play tug. Meatball doesn't know his own size and his adoptive match would want to take him to some basic obedience/manners classes and have the time to exersize with this big lug. Because of his size and strength, we recommend a home without small children or cats.

Bluto (Bentley)

Bluto is a sweet, 73lb, 2 year old pitbull mix. He is currently in foster care. If you are interested in him, contact Alix, the Foster Coordinator, at [email protected] or 503-988-6247 to set up a time to meet him. He is house trained, fantastic on leash, and loves riding in the car. He came to MCAS with skin allergies, that are now under control because of the special food we are feeding him. He takes treats very gently and loves meeting new people. He is very afraid of yelling and nervous about being pet on top of his head. He needs slow, postive reinforcement to help him learn that no one is going to hurt him, and the world is not a scary place. He is very interested in other dogs, and would do well with a quiet, submissive playmate. He would also do fine with cats that don't run (he will want to chase them). He is protective of his food and balls, but is getting better every day in foster. Talk to your adoption counselor about how to keep him on the path to success! Ask about Bluto today.

Am I not just the most gorgeous cat you have ever seen!! And I am a love too. I do enjoy attention and will request it either by gently tapping you or quietly mewing at you. But don't get me wrong I'm not one of those needy cats. I can spend time by myself as well so I can keep your trusty chair warm while you are out and about. I am a good observer and will keep everything ship shape. I've gained these pearls of wisdom as I am 6 years old. I know how to live with others of my own kind. Hi my shelter name is Kinzie, so nice to meet you. I am one of those young ladies at 1 years old that did not get quite enough experience in the world. I came to the shelter worried about all the new things I saw. I am happy to report I am starting to get that there are a lot of nice people out in the world. Won't you help me learn even more? I need a patient and loving family that will keep me learning life's lessons in a safe way. Reward based classes, friendly strangers and friendly dogs are some of what I need besides you! The shelter has noted some reactions to young children so are asking for only families with children 13 years or older ask about me. I weigh in at 52 lbs. The shelter vet staff want you to know that I had orthopedic surgery on 01/27/15. It was successful but I will need some ongoing PT to help in the healing process. Don't worry its not that complicated.

Hi there folks. I am l darling white and brown tabby. See how wonderfully well I can climb at least part way up the cat stand. And I can get up in chairs too. I love the rocker in my room. This is a big deal for me 'cause by back legs don't work quite as well as my front legs. It doesn't slow me down, not one bit!! I really like to be loved up and will let you know that you are not living up to your job description of 'servant to the cat':) I do it gently however with a quiet meow. I know how to finesse. They say I'm around 5 years old so think of all the knowledge that I have acquired during that time. No need to train me I've got it all.
