If you’re still hoping to contribute to the 2015 Kitten Triage Project, then you’re in luck.

This project, which has a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, enables Multnomah Country Animal Services (MCAS) to save the lives of hundreds of kitten every year. This campaign was launched with the goal of raising $45,000. As of now it has raised around $10,000.

Kitten season occurs each year between late spring and early autumn. This is when fertile cats actively breed. During this time around 1,200 kittens will be brought to MCAS.

This massive influx limits the shelter’s ability to actively care for kittens and cats that are in their care. In order to save the life of a kitten it costs MCAS approximately $60.

Visit the Indiegogo campaign to make a donation. The campaign ends on Monday, June 15th.

Rover

Breed: Himalayan/ Domestic Medium Hair

Gender: Male

Age: Young

This attractive and outgoing young guy is Rover. He is conflicted between his desire for attention and his independent nature. He is active, curious, noisy and talkative, but would rather not be picked up and carried or restrained from moving on his own 4 feet. For that reason we are recommending a home without children under age 8 years old who might not respect his boundaries. Rover is a cream and grey intact male, Lynx point Domestic Medium Hair mix. He is approximately 1 year old. He weighs about 9.3 lbs. He will be neutered before he goes home. Come on over and ask about Rover at the shelter today!

Nalla

Breed: Pitbull, American/ Mix

Gender: Female

Age: Adult

Hi there, I'm Nalla. I'm a 5 year old female Pitbull mix. As you can see I've had a litter of puppies while I was out and about, but I'm done with that now and ready to settle in as someone's pet. I am 60 pounds of people lovin' Pitbull, active and full of kisses and nibbles. Because I'm so friendly, the shelter recommends kids 8 & up because my tail could be dangerous to kids at eye level. My best match with other dogs is a medium to large respectful male. Come meet me, I could be your new best friend.
