Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, Portland offers locals and visitors alike a great list of things to check out this Friday - Tuesday. See Slideshow below for 12 events you won’t want miss.

1. St. Paddy's Fest

Keep the party going for days and check out Kells Annual St. Patrick’s Festival this Friday – Tuesday. Sponsored by Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub, attendees will be able to relax in the pub or take part in the fun happenings inside the Kells Festival Tent. The Tent offers entertainment ranging from Irish dances, musical sets, and even a live showing of a Timbers’ game. For those of us with kids, the festival has kids’ entertainment on Saturday, 11am – 5pm & Sunday 11am – 3pm. So bring the wee ones down to enjoy crafts, live music, Irish dancers, and face painting.

2. Rogue Garage Sale

Also happening this weekend, is the Rogue Garage Sale hosted by the brewpub, Rogue Hall. This is a great way to discover some good deals during the midst of your St. Patrick’s Day partying.

3. Costume Crawl

For those of you who like to dress up, you may want to check out the Costume Crawl, otherwise known as Stumptown LepreCon2015. This is a free, 21 and over event with only one requirement; attendees must wear costumes. It doesn’t have to be fancy, but it has to be green. The event also doubles as a benefit for Portland Police Sunshine Division. Pay for your drinks with cash and a portion of the proceeds will go toward the Sunshine Division Inc. This Saturday, release your inner leprechaun and come to Kells Irish Restaurant and Pub to celebrate and support Portland Police Sunshine Division.

4. St. Paddy's Bar Crawl

On March 14th and 17th, get ready for Portland’s St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl. The crawl begins at Silver Dollar Pizza Co. and makes its way through the Alphabet District visiting Pizza Schmizza, The Bitter End Pub, Marathon Taverna, and Kingston Saloon. Purchase a 2-day pass and enjoy both nights.

5. McMenamins

Several of McMenamins’ locations will also be hosting St. Paddy’s Day events. Serving up live music, Irish Coffee cocktails and even some face painting, Oregon’s beloved McMenamins is the place to be this Tuesday, March 17th.

6. Shamrock Run

Get ready to run this Sunday at Portland’s Shamrock Run. Whether you’re a long distance runner or someone just jogging along for fun, the event lets you choose between 5K, 8K, and 15K distances. This isn’t just a race, though. Adding some pep to your step, eight live bands will play this year to keep you in the Irish spirit.

7. Paddy's Bar

Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, Paddy’s Bar and Grill joins The Children’s Cancer Association in their annual St. Patrick’s Day Party. While there will be shenanigans occurring at the pub starting Friday evening, there will also be a celebration on the holiday itself. For just a $10 cover, come enjoy a unique line-up of events (not yet disclosed), food and drinks, and stick around for a chance to earn trip to Ireland. Minors are welcome at the event until 9:30pm on Tuesday.

8. All Age Festival

Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, the Oregon Irish Club hosts an all-age festival this Tuesday, March 17th. The doors will open at 4pm and preceed a fun evening of pipes and drums, the Molly Malone Dancers, and the Ceili Band to name just a few of the events.

11. Toast to Cocktails

If you like mixing literature with liquid pleasure, then come on down to Portland’s Bull in China for a book signing with Jacob Grier. Grier is a popular blogger and beer expert who recently came out with a book, Cocktails on Tap: The Art of Mixing Spirits and Beer. 12. Fundraiser

For the 7th year in a row, Thirsty Lion and St. Baldrick’s partner to celebrate and raise money for the fight against childhood cancer. Oregonians are invited to help raise thousands of dollars this Saturday, March 14th. At each of Thirsty Lion’s locations, there will be a head-shaving event involving “shavees” who have pledged to shave their heads after receiving donations from their friends to go toward St. Baldrick’s foundation. This year, the locations hope to raise over $50,000 toward helping children continue their brave fight against cancer. In the process of raising money, attendees will also enjoy food and drinks from the pub’s customized St. Patrick’s Day menu.
