Schoolhouse Rock!
Remember growing up learning about nouns and verbs to the rock n’ roll beats of School House Rock? Now you can share that experience with your kids by taking them to the Oregon Children’s Theatre production, School House Rock Live!
Featuring songs about grammar, math, and history, this performance will keep you humming along and learning.

Easter Cruise
Grab your kids and step aboard the Portland Spirit to enjoy an Easter Cruise on Sunday, April 5th.
The Portland Spirit offers two boarding times, 930am and 2pm. The meal provides passengers a Northwest buffet, including coffee, hot tea, champagne (for the adults, of course), and sparkling cider.
The two hour cruise also features live entertainment to help make this Easter Celebration memorable.

Six and Under Shred
Bring your kids down to the Lumberyard for an afternoon of “extreme” biking.
Hosting weekly “Six and under Shred” days, the Lumberyard encourages kids to be both safe and daring from 9am to noon every Monday and Friday.

Earth Day
Celebrate Earth Day with your neighbors and kids at the Portland Earth Day Coalition. This event features live music and entertainment, a “health and wellness” village, and the opportunity to interact with more than 90 sustainable businesses and organizations. Help create a better world with your kids on Saturday, April 25th.

The Starlight Parade
The Starlight Parade is a classic and popular event for families. Enjoy approximately 100 illuminated floats stroll down Portland streets, along with traditional marching bands and even a synchronized umbrella team. Grand Marshal of this year’s Starlight Parade will be Peedee aka the lovable PDX carpet.

Rabbit Romp
Kids will love Rabbit Romp, an easter egg hunt at The Oregon Zoo. The candy egg hunt is for children ages three to ten. Toddlers age two and under can also join in the fun at the Bear Walk Café. Make sure to bring a basket to collect the compostable "plastic" eggs and prizes.
Before your kids gather treats, don’t forget to check out pettable animals at the Family Farm as well as easter themed crafts and games.

Latourell Falls Hike
On a nice sunny day, take a trip to the beautiful Latourell Falls. A short walk down to the base of the falls provides a great picture moment for the you and your kids. If the kids are feeling a little more adventurous, take a hike up a steep paved path to see a viewpoint of the magnificent waterfall.

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Portland’s largest Latino event, The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. Visit the “Plaza de Niños” children’s area where you and your child can articulate in free crafts, face paint, and other family fun activities. Also enjoy performances, carnival rides, and art during the three day festival.

Peter and the Wolf
On Sunday, April 19th, bring your kids down to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall to see a production of "Peter and the Wolf." This timeless tale will be the Oregon Symphony’s final Kid’s Concert of the season, and it will be sure to make a lasting impression on you and your little ones.

Cosmic Nights
Do your little ones have an imagination that’s out of this world? Then they may enjoy a “Cosmic” Friday night at Dizzy Castle. On “Cosmic Night,” Dizzy Castle stays open until 9pm to ensure that your kids have a great time dressing up in neon clothes for light saber “duels” and "Hoe-Downs" with Dizzy the Dragon. These are fun nights you won’t want to miss this Spring.

Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest
Your child won’t stop oohing and aahing once they see the 40 acres of colorful tulips. “From Lily-flowered tulips to Parrot tulips, visitors will see a bulb in every hue,” says Barb Iverson of Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. The Wooden Shoe Event will also feature hay wagon rides, cow trains, and a children’s play area.

Singin’ in the Square
Kids will want to grab a complimentary songbook and sing-a-long to Pink Martini and other special guests at the Singin’ in the Square event. ShedRain bubble umbrellas will be handed out at the event as well.
