Director Katherine Brooks Looking to Fund New LGBT Film in Oregon

Emmy Award-winning writer and director Katherine Brooks is currently holding a Kickstarter raising money to produce her new LGBT film Confidential in Oregon. The film explores the complex relationship between a female psychiatrist and her female patient.

With less than 6 days to go, the Kickstarter remains short of its one hundred thousand dollar goal, with backers having pledged a little over fifty-six thousand dollars.

In 2006 Katherine Brooks directed her first feature film movie Loving Annabelle, an LGBT movie about a teenage girl in a Catholic boarding school who falls in love and pursues a relationship with her teacher.

Brooks has held several Kickstarters to fund various film projects since 2010, most notably her 2012 documentary Face 2 Face in which she travelled across the country to meet 50 of her Facebook friends and filmed her encounters.

The Kickstarter for Confidential is scheduled to end on December 25. If Brooks makes her goal, filming will take place in February 2015.
