Ideally everyone had a relaxing and fulfilling Christmas Day spent with family and friends. If you’re grasping for things to do to keep up the holiday momentum until New Year’s, here’s five upcoming events to tide you over and give one final shout-out to the holiday season.

Holiday Tea at Pix Patisserie
A perfect way to relax after the hullabaloo that is Christmas. Spend a quiet afternoon at Pix Patisserie enjoying a holiday tea featuring a pot of tea from Townshend’s Tea House and a selection of 15 bite-sized treats ranging from sweet and savory. Some options include French macarons, quail eggs wrapped in prosciutto, a daily cheese selection, and rotating flavors of chocolat chaud.
Pix Patisserie, 2225 E Burnside St., (971)-271-7166. 2pm, 3pm, & 4pm, Monday Dec. 15 – Wed. Dec 31, $30 per person. Reservations are required 48 hours in advance. Click HERE for more information.

The von Trapps Holiday Show
This show is for everyone who fondly remembers watching The Sound of Music as a child (which should be everyone). Siblings Sofi, Melanie, Amanda, and August von Trapp have followed in their great-grandparents’ footsteps, performing both original and old American and Australian folk songs to great acclaim. The von Trapps will be performing two end-of-the-holiday shows this Friday at Mississippi Studios, one of them all ages and the other for adults only.
Mississippi Studios, 3939 N. Mississippi Ave., 228-3895. 6:30pm (all ages) & 9pm (21+), Friday Dec. 26, $13-15. Click HERE to purchase tickets.

Steve Byrne
He’s the creator and star of the comedy show Sullivan & Son and the list of TV shows on which he’s performed his skits and sets are too numerous to mention. The one and only Steve Byrne will be performing at the Helium Comedy Club this Friday and Saturday and wowing the audience with his high-energy, physical style.
Helium Comedy Club, 1510 SE 9th Ave., (888) 643-8669. 7:30pm & 10pm, Friday and Saturday Dec. 26-27, $22-29, 21+. Click HERE to purchase tickets.

Straight No Chaser
An all-male a cappella group originally formed over a dozen years ago at Indiana University and reassembled several years later, Straight No Chaser has become an online musical sensation with their holiday-themed albums. This talented 10-man tour will be in Portland this Saturday performing some of their favorite holiday songs selected from their many albums.
Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, 1037 SW Broadway Ave., 248-4335. 7:30pm, Saturday Dec. 27, $38-70. Click HERE to purchase tickets.

Resurrection: The (UN)Brunchening!
It’s not brunch, but it’s almost as appealing! Get to know your local comedic talent this Saturday evening at the Doug Fir Lounge in a special holiday show. Featured Portland comics include Amy Miller, Steven Wilber, Nariko Ott, Molly Fite, Philip Schallberger, and several others.
Doug Fir Lounge, 830 E Burnside St., 231-9663. 7pm, Saturday Dec. 27, $12, 21+. Click HERE to purchase tickets.
