Grammy Winner Shawn Colvin at the Aladdin Theatre

The Aladdin Theater will host Grammy-award winning singer/songwriter Shawn Colvin tonight for a special performance.

On her new album Uncovered, Colvin shows off her sensitivity, shining new light on song from some of the most popular songwriters in modern history. The album’s 12 cover tunes include songs from recognizable names like Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, Tom Waits, Stevie Wonder, Robbie Robertson and Graham Nash to name a few.

Colvin was born in South Dakota and spent time growing up in Illinois and Ontario. 

She won her first Grammy fro Best Contemporary Folk Album for her debut record, “Steady On”, in 1989. Ever since, she has released a string of top-notch albums and established a reputation as a dynamic live performer.

Colvin will hit the stage at 8 PM on Friday, January 15 at the Aladdin Theatre, located at 3107 Southeast Milwaukie Avenue. Tickets are $35.
