“Illuminate the Night with Music” to Benefit Stumptown Stages

Castaway Portland will host a benefit dinner and auction on Sunday featuring live performances of music from Phantom of the Opera to benefit Stumptown Stages.

The event, known as “Illuminate the Night With Music” will include live performances from Broadway stars such as Amy Jo Halliday, Kirk Mouser, Douglas Webster and special guest Julianne R. Johnson Weiss.

The night will be catered by Food in Bloom, who will provide a special cocktail hour and delicious sit down dinner. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on special and unique items at the event’s live and silent auctions. Items sold will benefit Stumptown Stages.

The night kicks off at 5:30 PM on Sunday, November 8 at Castaway Portland, located at 1900 NW 18th Avenue. For more information or to purchase tickets for the event, please visit the Stumptown Stages website.

A true Broadway classic, Guys and Dolls has stood the test of time, and continues to be adored by audiences of all ages. The show premiered in November 1950 – a production that won five Tony Awards including Best New Musical – and has been revived many times, both on Broadway and London’s West End. It was also the inspiration for the 1955 film starring Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra.
