Organize + Energize: 6 Ways to Hack a Tiered Spice Rack
Tuesday, March 15, 2016
Here are 6 ways to use a tiered spice rack:
Spices. The obvious one, but believe it or not, most people don’t use spice racks. There are hundreds of different types out there. Choose the one that fits well in your space, maximizes your space and is functional for what you have.
Nail polish. Whether you store your nail polish in your bathroom or in a hall closet, keep them contained on a tiered spice rack. You can stack and organize them by color and rotate them as seasons change.
Perfume/lotions. Some of my clients were looking for creative ways to store their multiple perfume and lotion bottles. This tiered organizer with the vertical lip is perfect because it allows you to stack and stand them up. They won’t tumble down because the vertical lip holds them in place.
Hair products. How many products do you have to push out of the way to locate the one you need? Do they fall over or get pushed to the back of the closet? Using this rack is efficient because you won’t have to move 5 items to find the one you need. You can see everything when it’s stored on this rack and you can just grab and go.
Medications. When medications aren’t organized you’ll purchase duplicate items because you’ll forget what you have and ultimately you’ll waste money. Declutter them and check for expiration dates and store on these tiered racks.
Craft supplies. If you have small paint bottles that you work with or small tubes that need to be contained, this is a great way to be able to see what you have. You may find that you are using supplies more often once you organize them.
It’s all about becoming more efficient and choosing the best organizing product that will fit your needs. If a product is in the bathroom organization section of a store, it doesn’t mean that product has to be used in the bathroom. Think outside the box and get creative. The end goal is to save you time and energy. If you can shave minutes off your busy day, imagine how much time you’d save by the end of the week!
