Organize + Energize: The Quick & Easy Way to Sell Your Designer Handbags

Tuesday, March 08, 2016

When was the last time you took inventory of your designer handbags? I’ve worked with many clients who have an abundance of designer handbags that are sitting in their closets in dust bags. Some of those bags have been thrown to the back of their closets never to be looked at again.

Many of my clients want to sell their bags, but have held onto them because they want to get good money for them. They want the process to be quick and easy.

A few months ago, the business developer from Rebagg.com contacted me and introduced me to Rebagg.com. I had a lengthy conversation with her about the company and the process to sell designer bags. I wanted to get as much information as I could to pass on to my clients and readers of this column.

Rebagg.com purchases your designer bags outright and there isn’t any consignment. All shipping is paid by Rebagg. There aren’t any fees, which is a huge plus and the process is super easy!

How does it work?

You take a picture of your designer bag and upload it to the site or app. In one business day, they will give you a guaranteed price quote. You can accept or not accept the quote. Once you accept the quote, they’ll mail you a pre-paid box to ship your bag. Once they receive the bag, they’ll authenticate the bag. If it’s authentic, they send you a bank check or transfer to your account.

You can't beat the convenience of this site. You don't have to schedule an appointment with a consignment store. You don't have to research consignment stores. You don't have to drive anywhere except to drop your bag at the post office.  Aside from those perks, there aren't any fees and shipping is paid by the company. They even send you a box to ship your bag! It's the most efficient way to sell your designer bags.

It’s time to dig deep in your closets where these bags might be hiding and declutter these designer bags. You may want to hold onto them, and that’s ok! At least this process will get you to go through them. It will allow you to remember what you actually have hiding in the dust cloths. It’s a great time to organize them and start using them again.

If you decide to use this service, remember to stay organized during the process. Keep track of the bags you are sending and the quotes that you are receiving. Let me know how it worked for you.  I’d love your feedback.

Kristin Carcieri-MacRae, is an organizing & efficiency.
