Equity Foundation’s "Women Who Lead" Luncheon, held on May 7 at The Nines Hotel, celebrated Oregon women who are making a difference—leaders who have changed the face of business, education, women’s health, sports and more.

These women represent the courage, commitment, and innovative thinking of all the remarkable people who work on the front lines of social change.

The event was an opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary vision and courageous work of these women who are improving the lives of all people in this community. This year’s honorees were Governor Kate Brown, Laura Calvo, and Antoinette Edwards as the “Women Who Lead 2015.”

The Equity Foundation, helmed by Karol Collymore, leverage resources to create social, economic, and political equity for the LGBTQ community. Together with other donors, they help support organizations that represent the interests of the LGBTQ community and who promote and celebrate diversity and inclusion.

Attendees included Basic Right Oregon’s Jeana Frazzini, Multnomah County Chair Deborah Kafoury, Mayor Charlie Hales and Nancy Hales and Portland Chief of Police Larry O'Dea.
