Portland Opera Celebrates 50 Years with Gala and After Party

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

The Portland Opera has brought culture and music to the community for 50 years and will be celebrating its success on Saturday, June 20th at a half-century anniversary gala.

The event will feature entertainment from solo artists, including special guest Thomas Lauderdale of Pink Martini fame, as well as cocktails with a dinner to follow.

“The gala will celebrate our history in the way we know best: through food, drink, merriment, entertainment, and of course, lots of opera. Join us to toast this milestone,” said General Director of Portland Opera, Christopher Mattaliano.

With presenting sponsorship by The Standard, the gala dinner will be accompanied by a live auction and the Hampton Opera Center will be transformed for the evening into a midsummer night’s dream themed wonderland.

The after party will commence at 9 pm. Tickets are available for $25 dollars should guest wish to attend the after party exclusively.
