Portland Stop Scheduled for Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour

Tuesday, March 03, 2015

Madonna performing "Human Nature" on the MDNA Tour.

According to Billboard ,"Madonna will embark on an international tour in support of her new album "Rebel Heart," an all-arena trek that will take the artist to territories she hasn't visited in decades, if ever, Billboard has learned."

One of those "territories" is Portland, Oregon's Moda Center on October 17.

"The Rebel Heart world tour launches Aug. 29 at American Airlines Arena in Miami, which will begin a run through North American arenas of about 25-30 shows through October, with additional dates likely to be added as certain shows sell out," says Billboard who also says that "similar to Madonna's last tour, "MDNA," (Madonnna's) new record will be bundled with the tickets, which will go on (pre-)sale beginning March 9."

Madonna's last extended stay in Portland was in the early 1990's while she made the film "Body of Evidence."

The last time she performed in Portland on tour was in 1985 during "The Virgin Tour," where she performed at, what is now, The Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall with The Beastie Boys as her opening act.
