RuPaul's Drag Race: Battle of the Seasons at Crystal Ballroom was a night of glitter, glam and glorious drag realness.
Superstars and contestants from five years of the hit Logo television show "RuPaul's Drag Race" landed their drag-wagon onstage of the Crystal Ballroom on Tuesday night.
And Oh. My. Gawd. It was fabulous. The deliciously long live show was devoured by the sold-out audience. And why wouldn’t it be?
Since the hostess, RuPaul Drag Race judge Michelle Visage, was unavailable due to commitments overseas, the night was emceed by Bianca del Rio, one of the most entertaining and outrageous drag queens/comics working the circuit today.
Other drag superstars onstage?
Sharon Needles, a performance artist/goth queen/cool ghoul, who is a lot sweeter in person than you would ever expect. Ivy Winters who did her own cirque-de-so-gay, slighty nerdy Vegas-style slight of hand (she would do very well on America’s Got Talent). Alaska Thunder F-word 5000, who pumped some of the only recognizable hits from RuPaul drag pantheon. Other major highlights? Adore Delano, who can actually sing and Raja who had nothing but love for Portland.
