Three new spins on the enchanting Cinderella fairy tale come to Portland stages and theaters. 

Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella

Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, the 2013 Tony® Award-winning Broadway musical, will dazzle young and old audiences at Keller Auditorium from February 17th to the 22nd.  

A new take on the classic story of chambermaid turned princess will combine the classic elements- pumpkin, glamorous ball, and glass slippers, with surprising twists. 

Cinderella will be a contemporary spirited young woman living in a fairytale setting. Her rags and gowns won’t phase her in her quests for compassion and forgiveness. The assertive Cinderella fights for her dreams and helps the prince to discover his own dreams, by opening his eyes to the world around him. She is more than a lovely face with the perfect shoe size.

Oregon Ballet Theatre's Cinderella 

Oregon Ballet Theatre is celebrating their 25th anniversary with Ben Stevenson's Cinderella.  

Flowing choreography, live orchestra music, and high classic ballet, come together in a romantic and uplifting rendition of the ballet world’s most popular performance. 

“The love-at-first-sight romance between Cinderella and her Prince Charming will prove an entrancing experience for adults and children alike,” said OBT‘s Artistic Director, Kevin Irving.

Disney's Cinderella 

Disney's live-action adaption of Cinderella is directed by Kenneth Branagh stars Downton Abbey's Lily James as Cinderella and Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother. Other notable names include Cate Blanchett as the evil stepmother and Game of Throne’s Richard Madden as Prince Charming.  

The story based off Disney’s 1950 animation, includes several twists. For example Prince Charming played by Richard Madden, meets Cinderella before the momentous ball. During this Prince Charming lies and tells her that he is a palace staff member names Kit.

All Frozen fans will want to see Cinderella, as the short film Frozen sequel titled Frozen Fever, will be shown before the film. 

Comes to theaters March 13th
