If there's one thing that Oregonians love it's being active. You'll see runners and walkers at almost any time of the year no matter even if it's pouring rain. So why not go out and join your fellow runners in a 5K, 10K or half marathon? Several of these races will even be donating the proceeds to various causes around the Portland area.

For example, the 5K Run For Animals will be donating 10% of their proceeds to the Oregon Humane Society, the One Small Step 5K will raise money to help find a cure for the Prader-Willi Syndrom while proceeds from the Beaverton Rotary Sun Run will go directly back into the community.

In case you're having a tough time finding a race (or races) you want to partake in GoLocalPDX has already done the research for you. Here are 15 upcoming races happening the Portland area.
