Beaverton Police Officer Injured in Hit and Run

The Beaverton Police Department is searching for a driver who they say hit a police officer early on Saturday morning before fleeing the scene.
Police say an officer was injured at roughly 12:30 AM on Saturday morning. The officer was on duty, driving a 2014 Ford Explorer patrol vehicle wihle traveling east on Canyon Road when a westbound vehicle turned left in front of the officer.
Police say the officer had a green light, and the suspect’s vehicle had a flashing yellow left turn arrow. The suspect’s vehicle fled south and was last seen traveling west on Farmington near Highway 217.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a dark Honda Accord with extensive front end damage, including broken or missing headlights.
The officer was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and was treated and released. The police patrol vehicle sustained damage to it’s driver side door.
