Edward Snowden Talks About a Return to the United States

Tuesday, February 23, 2016

Edward Snowden, a former NSA contractor who leaded thousands of classified government documents in 2013, told supporters that he would be willing to return to the United States if the American government promised to guarantee him a fair trial.

Snowden has been living in Russia since the summer of 2013, after leaving his job with the NSA in Hawaii that same year to pursue what he called transparency for the U.S. Public.
