Fatal Crash in Linn County

Linn County police are investigating a fatal one-vehicle crash that occurred on Saturday morning.

Police say 40-year-old Gabriel Christopher Cebol of Lebanon was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Van on Richardson Gap Road early on Saturday morning. Police say Ceboll was traveling northbound when his vehicle drove off the shoulder of the road and he lost control of the van. The van flipped and rolled several times before coming to rest on its wheels.

Police responded to a report of the crash and pronounced Ceboll dead at the scene. Ceboll had been wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, but was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by fire personnel. 

Police are still investigating why Ceboll left the roadway. There were no witnesses to the crash. It is not believed that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
