FBI Asks for Public’s Help Searching for Serial Bank Robber

Friday, March 31, 2017

The FBI is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a serial bank robber called the "Bandaged Bandit". This robber has hit at least three Chase Bank branches - all located inside Fred Meyer stores - in about two weeks.

In each case, the robber walked into the branch, demanded cash from the teller and left the bank on foot. In each case, the robber covered his face with bandages or a medical mask, and he wore gloves and what appeared to be silver-colored sneakers.

+ March 8, 2017 - Chase Bank - 7555 SW Barbur Boulevard, Portland

+ March 14, 2017 - Chase Bank - 2500 SE Santiam Highway, Albany

+ March 24, 2017 - Chase Bank - 2450 Commercial Street SE, Salem

In the first two incidents, the robber wore a medical mask. In the Albany robbery, he also wore a large light-colored rain poncho.

In the third incident - the Salem robbery - he wrapped his entire head in bandages, had his arm in a sling and wore a baseball cap. He also was wearing a dark-colored jacket with a large Nike logo on the back. In all three incidents, he wore the silver sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at:
