FBI Investigation: Deciding Sen. Flake Votes to Approve Kavanaugh, But Pushes One Week Floor Delay

The United States Senate Judiciary Committee voted United State Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh out of committee along party lines on Friday. The nomination now heads to the full Senate for a vote floor. 

Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) proposed a one week delay for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to look into allegations against Kavanaugh. He inferred that other swing Senate votes may be supporting his move. 

His motion, however, was abruptly interrupted and ended when Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) invoked the "two-hour" rule and ended the day.

Now, the question is if Flake can garner enough support for his proposal to put pressure on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

"There is no amendment -- I'm simply stating it's my hope -- and I thought we had an agreement," said Flake at the end of the session before being cut off. 
"This country's being ripped apart and we need to make sure we do due diligence - I think we a have a short pause and that the FBI can investigate -- it's my understanding that we have to make a request to the White House to make that investigation," said Flake.
