On Thursday morning, Governor Kate Brown ordered all flags at public institutions throughout Oregon be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, March 21 to honor former Oregon statesman and public servant David Frohnmayer.

Former Oregon Attorney General David Frohnmayer, and President of the University of Oregon from 1994 until 2009, died at the age of 74 on March 9.

"I am heartbroken at the loss of my wonderful and brilliant friend Dave Frohnmayer," said Governor Kate Brown. "His deep love of Oregon is reflected in a lifetime of leadership and public service. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lynn and the Frohnmayer family at this difficult time."
