St. Andrew Legal Clinic is hosting the Race for Justice, a 5k run/walk through the Irvington neighborhood on Saturday, June 20 at 10 a.m. The start, finish and after-party are at the Madeleine Parish, 3123 NE 24th Ave.
Basic registration is $60, students (even law students) are $35, and those 3-11 participating in the kids’ K are $10. However, registration fees are waived for pledge raisers who can raise more than $100 from friends and family.
Pledge raising tools registration information can be found at salcraceforjustice.org.
St. Andrew Legal Clinic, with offices in Northeast Portland and Hillsboro, makes quality family legal service affordable for the working poor on the principle that justice should be accessible to everyone, regardless of income.
Services are provided on a sliding scale based on income, so your generosity is not just a monetary donation, it’s a partnership with the families we serve. You can help us bridge the gap for families who do not qualify for Legal Aid and can’t afford to hire a private attorney.
Last year SALC served more than 2,000 families through our intake program and provided more than 300 clients with full legal representation ranging from domestic violence intervention, child support and custody disputes to divorce. Attorneys also protect the legal rights of guardians and ensure reasonable child visitation.
Each donation is vital to St. Andrew’s mission and has a direct, positive impact on families here in the Greater Portland Area.
