Man Arrested for Rape & Other Sex Crimes Involving 13-Year-Old Girl

A man was arrested by Portland Police for numerous sex crimes involving a 13-year-old girl, including rape.

Ahmed Hadir Ahmed, 20, was arrested on charges of rape in the second degree, sodomy in the second degree (two counts), unlawful sexual penetration in the second degree, sex abuse in the first degree, delivery of methamphetamine to a juvenile, and delivery of a controlled substance to a juvenile in the first degree.

The Incident

On Wednesday April 5, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the area of Powell Park, located at Southeast 26th Avenue and Powell Boulevard, on the report that a homicide had occurred in the park.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted a 13-year-old girl who told police that a homeless man she'd been with for the past few days was claiming to have killed someone. Officers checked the park, did not find any evidence of a homicide but did learn that the 13-year-old was reported runaway and the man was providing her drugs and had been sexually assaulting her.

The 13-year-old was taken to a Portland hospital for a sexual assault examination.
