Man Arrested in #MayDayPDX Riot, Arson Incidents in Downtown Portland

Damion Zachary Feller

A man was arrested in connection to the burning road flare that were placed inside a downtown Portland Target store during a riot on Monday, May 1. 

Damion Zachary Feller, 22,  was arrested at Southwest Park Avenue and Stark Street and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Arson in the First Degree, Arson in the Second Degree, and Riot. 

Additional charges may be added after additional investigation and the case is reviewed by the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office. 

The Incident 

On Wednesday May 3, 2017, Portland Police Bureau and Portland Fire & Rescue Arson Investigators arrested the person suspected of placing burning road flares inside a Downtown Portland Target store and a Portland Police car during the riot on Monday, May 1.

Feller was identified after investigators reviewed video of the events as well as through community tips. Probable cause was established to arrest Feller for the crimes and investigators seized evidence linking him to the crimes. 

Feller will be arraigned on Thursday.
