Multnomah County Tax Payments Due November 16

Monday, October 19, 2015

Multnomah County property owners will begin receiving their property tax statements in the mail this week, and the first payment on tax bills is due on November 16.

Approximately 300,000 property owners in the county will receive property tax statements and value notices after the bills were sent out beginning last week. Taxpayers will receive a 3 percent discount if the full property tax amount is postmarked by Monday, November 16, 2015. Taxes may also be paid without discount in three installments due on November 16, 2015, February 16, 2016 and May 16, 2016, respectively.

Tax bills can be paid either by phone by calling (877) 542-5990 or online via a credit/debit card or e-check at multcotax.org. Anyone with questions about their property taxes should call (503) 988-3326 or visit multcotax.org.

To appeal the value of their property, taxpayers should contact the Board of Property Tax Appeals before December 31. For more information on appeals, call (503) 988-3326.

Editor’s Note: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that Multnomah County would be returning money to taxpayers.
