Murder Outside of Dante’s

Responding Officers and medical personnel arrived and were directed to the parking lot behind Dante's, located at 380 West Burnside Street, where they located an adult male deceased from a gunshot wound. The victim appears to be in his 30s.
The location is infamous for being the home to "Keep Portland Weird."
According to witnesses, they described seeing people running from the area and vehicles being driven away after the shooting.
Homicide detectives, the Medical Examiner and Criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division are responding to begin an investigation into the death.
Traffic on Southwest 3rd and 4th Avenues may be impacted by this investigation.
There is no additional information available and no updates will be shared until mid-Monday morning at the earliest.
