One Dead After Polk County Motorhome Fire

At roughly 2:40 AM, the Dallas Fire Department, assisted by SW Polk Fire, was dispatched to 4000 block of Van Well Road on report of a structure fire.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found a motor home entirely engulfed in flames. While fighting the fire, officials found a deceased person inside the motorhome. They called the Polk County Sheriff’s office, who responded to the scene.
The Polk County Sheriff’s office is investigating the cause of the fire with assistance from the Oregon State Police and the Oregon Fire Marshal. The incident remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
