Oregon Elementary School Teachers Paid Far Less Than California Teachers

Oregon's $56,032 ranks in the bottom half nationally. In contrast, California teachers earn $65,972 per year, according to data developed by GoLocal's partner FindTheBest. Massachusett's annual salary for elementary school teachers is $67,915.
Rhode Island leads the United States in salaries for elementary school teachers and is $16,000 more than teachers in Oregon teachers.
Arizona is the lowest state in the United States - just above $40,000 a year.
The data derives from the U.S, Department of Labor.
