The Oregon State Police is beginning recruitment for hiring new state troopers.

Applications for Lateral and Entry Level recruit trooper applications will be accepted through an electronic application system starting at 12:01 a.m. on December 20 and ending 11:59 p.m. on January 2, 2015.

Two Entry Level testing sessions will be held after applications due.  Session One will be on Thursday, January 8th and Friday the 9th. Session Two is on Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th.

Both sessions will be in Salem at the Oregon Public Safety Academy.

The State Police urge applicants to prepare for the application and testing sessions beforehand by visiting osptrooper.com.

The website offers information on the application process, how to successful apply, how to get a jump on the required Entry Level Testing, and a clear outline of the qualifications.

Any questions about the application process can be directed to the OSP Recruitment Unit at 503-378-4175.
