Tuesday, December 08, 2015
On Sunday, police responded to a report of a Macy’s employee who had been assaulted while attempting to stop two shoplifters. The shoplifters, described as black males in their late teens, fled the scene.
Police eventually pursued two suspects, who fled towards the Lloyd Double Tree. Police detained one suspect initially and eventually arrested a second.
The two juveniles, whose names were not released by police, were charged with robbery and assault. Detectives are still investigating the incident and may press further charges as the investigation continues.
