Press Conference with Governor Brown Scheduled in Portland on Umpqua Community College Shooting

Thursday, October 01, 2015

A press conference with Governor Kate Brown and Oregon State Police has been scheduled for around 1:30 pm today at the World Trade Center in downtown Portland regarding the Umpqua Community College shooting.

"Today is heartbreaking for Umpqua Community College, the greater Roseburg community, and all of Oregon," Governor Brown said. "My heart is heavy as details of today's shooting become available. While it is still too early to know all of the facts, the effects of an incident such as this one are long-lasting. Please join me in keeping the victims and their families, as well as first responders, in your thoughts."

Governor Brown will travel to Roseburg immediately following the press conference.
