St. Paul Rodeo

The St.Paul Rodeo is always one of the most popular events that occur during 4th of July weekend. This year will be no different. Some of the world’s top competitors will be making their way to City Park in St.Paul Oregon with hopes of winning the grand prize of $500,000.

Waterfront Blues Festival

With over 60 artists set to perform at the Waterfront Blues Festival it will surely be a party all weekend. This festival will also include a 5K/10K run/walk, a Blues Cruise and the largest firework display in Oregon. If any of this sounds fun to you make sure to come check it out!

Portland Thorns Vs. Sky Blue FC

Every Independance Day weekend needs a good soccer match. Fortunately, this 4th of July weekend the city of Portland will be getting just that. The Thorns will be taking on Sky Blue FC, who happen to own the worst record in the NWSL. Hopefully the Thorns come out with a victory.

J.A.W.Z. The Musical

The Saloon Ensemble will be bringing Jaws to the Alberta Rose Theatre in honor of the film's 40th anniversary. This is a two-act musical comedy written, directed, arranged and performed by this talented performance troupe. If you decide to see the show, make sure you bring a life preserve.

Dog Days Of Summer

Come and celebrate dogs everywhere! At the Dog Days Of Summer celebration there will be activities ranging from doggie fashion shows to dog themed crafts. Caryn Jamieson Music will even be in attendance playing live music from 5:30pm to 8pm. Bring your pup and have some fun in downtown Camas.

Millennium Concert Band

Under the direction of Dale Cleland, the Millennium Concert Band will kicking off 4th of July weekend with a USO style performance. The band will be performing patriotic, military and marching compositions. Veterans will also be honored at this concert and there will even be a ceremonial Presentation of the Colors from the Lake Oswego Police Honor Guard.

Hillsboro Hops Vs. Eugene Emeralds

The Hillsboro Hops need as many wins as possible if they want to repeat as NWL champions. On Friday they will be facing the Eugene Emeralds. Luckily for the Hops the Ems currently have a losing record.

Haunted Pub Crawl

What do you get when you combine beer tastings and ghost stories? You get the Haunted Pub Crawl! This tour will introduce you to the spirits that have been haunting Old Town for years. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear stories of murder, drug dens and corrupt police. Some of these ghosts have even been featured on the Travel Channels’ Ghost Adventures.

Estacada Timber Festival

The Estacada Timber Festival will be back at Timber Park over 4th of July weekend. This festival will include activities such as ax throwing, log rolling and speed climbing contests. In addition, there will also be a Kid’s Zone, Beer Garden and live music.

Portland Craft Beer Festival

Portland is widely known across the country for their crafted beer. This event will allow guests to sample some beers that have been brewed from within the city limits. There will also be wine and ciders available for guests to try. There’s no better way to spend the day than with an ice-cold beer in your hand.

Independence Day At Fort Vancouver

Come spend the 4th of July at Fort Vancouver. This celebration, which is presented by Bank of America, will have something fun for the entire family. There will be walking tours, crafts, music, food and fireworks, just to name a few. Also, this year’s state of the art firework show will be synchronized to music and launched from Pearson Field.

Foot Traffic Flat Marathon

The Foot Traffic Flat Marathon is one of the flattest and fastest marathons on the West Coast. Participants have the option of signing up for a 5k, 8k, half marathon or full marathon. Each marathon will take place on Sauvie Island, which is 12,000+ acre island just northwest of Portland.

Happy Valley 4th Of July Family Festival

The Merry Wives Of Windsor

This summer the Original Practice Shakespeare, a non-profit theater company, will be performing various Shakespeare plays throughout Portland. On July 5th you can find them at Cathedral Park performing The Merry Wives Of Windsor. This Shakespearian comedy will also rely on audience participation, so be prepared to get up on stage and test out your acting skills.

Portland Timbers Vs. San Jose Earthquakes

With the Timbers playing some of their best soccer the city of Portland is anxiously waiting to see if it will continue. On Sunday the Timbers will take on the San Jose Earthquakes, who are 6-5. Even though they are #7 in the Eastern Conference they are still a very dangerous team.
