NEW: Three Arrested in Online Underage Sex Sting
Thursday, December 11, 2014
Richard Lester Biggs, 51, of Oregon City, Jeremy Justin Smith, 26, of Milwaukie, and Nixon Gray Lange, 28, of Tigard, after detectives from sheriff's office Child Abuse Team (CAT) and and the Interagency Child Sex Exploitation Prevention Team (INTERCEPT) posed as both male and female children on the Internet.
Within just a few hours of starting the operation, three subjects chatting with the detectives -- believing the detectives to be children -- arranged to meet at an address for what the subjects allegedly believed would be sex with underage boys and girls, according to detectives.
These three suspects were arrested upon arrival at the arranged meeting place and lodged at Clackamas County Jail on charges of online sexual corruption of a child in the first degree, according to deputies.
Detectives were also investigating the identity of four more suspects for the online sexual corruption of a child in the second degree, according to deputies.
