Sunday Marathon Will Impact Downtown Bridges

Wednesday, September 30, 2015

Expect traffic delays Sunday, October 4, due to the Portland Marathon.

Several downtown bridges will be impacted:

Broadway Bridge: The single eastbound lane on the bridge and the southbound lane on the NW Broadway ramp will be closed from 7am-3pm to all traffic except the Portland Streetcar. The westbound lane and bridge sidewalks will be open. The lift span will not open for river traffic from 5am-3pm.

Burnside Bridge: Westbound traffic lanes will be closed from 6am-8:45am, except for TriMet buses. Eastbound lanes, bridge sidewalks, and bicycle lanes will stay open.

Morrison Bridge: The westbound ramp from I-5 to the bridge will be closed and westbound traffic lanes on the bridge will be open with delays from 6:30am-8:45am. Eastbound lanes and the onramp to I-5 and I-84 will remain open, along with both bridge sidewalks.
