Northwest Meets Northeast Dinner at Urban Farmer

Urban Farmer Executive Chef Matt Christianson will collaborate with famed Bouston Chef Jeremy Sewall, for an 8-course dinner featuring the best seafood from each coast.

Sewall and his wife Lisa opened Massachusette’s Lineage in 2006, and then went on to partner with  Skip Bennett the founder of Island Creek Oysters, to open Island Creek Oyster Bar in 2010. The trio’s most recent venture has been opening sister restaurant, Row 34 in 2013. 

Sewall has also worked with author Erin Byers Murray on The New England Kitchen: Fresh Takes on Seasonal Recipes. The cookbook features classic New England dishes with a twist, and highlights the best of each season including small features of Seweall’s friends.

See what they will be cooking up for the 8-course dinner beow. 

Reception: Raw
East Coast Oysters- Row 34’s from Duxbury Bay
West Coast oysters- Seacows from Hama Hama
East: Diver scallop ceviche cara cara orange, chile, cilantro
West: Angels on horseback, date and foie gras puree
 
First Course -Cured
East: Roasted heirloom squash soup, Meyer lemon, sage, salt cod beignets
West: Smoked Alaskan Sablefish, lobster mushroom, wild watercress, pixie tangerine
 
Second Course –Crustacean
East: Baked stuffed lobster, brioche “stuffing,” winter vegetables
West: Dungeness crab and Oregon Black Truffle Risotto, Anise Dry Aged Oregon Beef Tenderloin
 
Third Course- Finfish
East: Pan-roasted hake, toasted barley, bacon, dijon cream 
West: Petrale Sole, Sea Urchin custard, salt roasted pear and long pepper
 
Fourth course- Seasonal Dessert
Lemon tart, whipped cream, pomegranate
Woodblock Chocolate soufflé in a can
