Grimm Gala To Benefit OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital

Tuesday, February 03, 2015

Grimm

Available on the online auction: Monroe and Rosalie's Cake Topper from Grimm Episode 322.

NBC’s “Grimm” cast and crew will host a very special “Grimm Gala” on Feb. 7, benefitting OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and presented by Comcast and NBCUniversal. The benefit will take place in Northeast Portland at the Eastside Exchange.

“Over the past few years, my fellow cast and crew members and I have fallen in love with the city. Since Portland has given us so much, we wanted to give something back,” Sasha Roiz said, who plays Captain Sean Renard on “Grimm.” “The cast visited OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital not long after coming to Portland, and we were moved by the families, kids, and everything the hospital does to ensure patients receive the best possible care in a supportive, family-centered environment. We also were made aware of the hospital’s areas of greatest need. Because of this, we were inspired to establish the Grimmster Endowment, a patient-assistance fund that provides children and families critical support associated with uncompensated care, travel, lodging and other services integral to the care and comfort of the most vulnerable patients.”

The evening will feature exclusive auction items such as: a group visit to the “Grimm” set and a dinner with members of the cast. Also, Nike has designed and donated one-of-a-kind shoes to be auctioned at the event. They are designed by Tinker Hatfield, Vice President of Creative Concepts for Nike, and are customized after five characters from the show. In addition to the shoes, customized Nike outerwear will be available only at the event.

Unfortunately the “Grimm Gala,” is already sold out, but “Grimm” fans are encouraged to make a donation at grimmgala.doernbecherfoundation.org, and their collective amount will be announced the evening of the event. The public can also participate in an online auction that is open until February 4, 2015 on the website. Online auction items  include the Volcanalis eye from episode 218, Monroe & Rosalee’s cake topper and wedding invitation from episode 322 and drawings from the “Grimm” book among other items from seasons one through four.

Grimm Gala, Exchange Ballroom, 123 Northeast 3rd Ave., 5:30 pm (doors open) Saturday, Feb. 7.  grimmgala.doernbecherfoundation.org
