The most beloved program in television history, I Love Lucy, is coming to the Keller Auditorium stage and in color for the very first time!

Favorite characters, Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel will take audiences back to 1952 to see two hilarious I Love Lucy episodes, “The Benefit” and “Lucy Has Her Eyes Examined.” A charismatic host will entertain the audience to the behind-the-scenes filming process of a brand new thing called “television.” While the Crystaltone Singers sing 50s style advertising jingles.

The quintessential TV show aired six seasons and 179 episodes on CBS from 1951 – 1957. The show’s quick witted humor, relatable characters, and Lucille Ball’s charisma, continue to endear new audiences and generations. The program even pioneered the multi-camera shooting technique and the use of 35mm film to capture a weekly, 30-minute scripted television program.

I Love Lucy was named the “Best TV Show Of All Time” and the “Greatest TV Comedy” by People Magazine and ABC’s "20/20" in September 2012.

I Love Lucy Live On Stage premiered in Los Angeles at the Greenway Court Theatre, and later a Chicago production was launched. The 2013-2014 national tour went to Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, Nashville and Costa Mesa. The play is directed Rick Sparks, with new material by Sparks and Kim Flagg. Music arrangements and lyrics are by Wayne Moore, with conducting by Andy Belling and  Bryan Miller.

I Love Lucy Live On Stage, Keller Auditorium, 222 SW Clay Street, times vary, April 7th to April 12th, 2015. For more information click HERE

Starbucks is way too basic for Portlanders. We're more likely to be found in that coffee shop in a corner under the bridge that nobody knows about or has ever even heard of. That's what makes their coffee so good.
