Thursday, October 30, 2014

A Vancouver acupuncturist was arrested Wednesday and charged with raping a client, police said.

Acupuncturist Kooyeoll Jung, 54, was arrested by Vancouver Police after allegedly sexually assaulting a female patient during a regularly scheduled appointment for treatment, officers said.

Jung was booked into the Clark County Jail Oct. 30 on two counts of rape and one count of indecent liberties and one count of unlawful imprisonment, after an investigation by the Vancouver Police Major Crimes Unit, according to officers.

The clinic where Jung practiced acupuncture, located at 201 SE 124th Avenue in Vancouver, declined to comment on the charges.

There were no other known victims at this time.

Anyone with information about this case was asked to contact Vancouver Police Detective Barbara Knoeppel by phone at (360) 487-7436 or by emailing [email protected]
