Harvey Weinstein Sentenced to 23 Years in Prison for Rape & Sexual Assaults

Weinstein must also serve five years of post-release supervision and register as a sex offender.
As GoLocalProv reported back in February, Weinstein was found guilty of a criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree.
The jury found him not guilty of the most serious charges against him — predatory sexual assault — which carries a sentence of up to life in jail.
Weinstein faced a maximum possible sentence of 29 years.
Weinstein Found Guilty
According to the Washington Post, the jury determined that Weinstein forced a sex act on former production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006 and raped former actress Jessica Mann in 2013.
