Port of Portland police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect connected with an alleged sexual assault at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel.

The incident occurred Oct. 13, at 8235 NE Airport Way just before 11:30 p.m., police said.

The victim reported that a man forced his way into her room and sexually assaulted her, then left and headed off in an unknown direction, according to police.

Investigators believe the victim and suspect had communicated online anonymously and agreed to meet at the hotel room, police said.

The suspect was described as a white male in his mid-20s, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, 225 to 275 pounds with short brown hair and a short brown beard.

The suspect had two distinctive tattoos; one on his chest of a hand holding a knife with a broken handcuff; one on his right upper arm with the image of a demonic female figure, according to police.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call the Port of Portland Police Department at (503) 460-4747.
