Utah Is A ‘Happier’ State Than Oregon
Tuesday, September 23, 2014
Wallethub analyzed the 50 states and DC across 26 factors ranging from emotional health to income levels, to sports participation rates.
A study that Wallethub analyzed found that happiness increases as income rises but only up to $75,000. Beyond that money makes a small difference in a person's general happiness.
Income is only one determinant of happiness. Other major factors include mental and physical health, job situation, experience of positive feelings, environment, social connections, and general outlook on life, according to Wallethub.
Oregon ranked 26 for best emotional and physical well-being, 46 for work situations, and 30 for community environment and recreational activities.
Utah ranked the number one happiest state, followed by Minnesota, North Dakota, Colorado, and Nebraska.
