Portland Metro Area’s Newest Pot Shop Opens Saturday
Friday, February 06, 2015
The Herbery Premium Cannabis will have a soft opening at 11 a.m. in Vancouver, Washington. The store’s grand opening will be held on Feb. 28.
The store will be the third shop to offer recreational marijuana in Clark County, since Washington State legalized the drug in 2012. The new store comes at a time when retailers in the fledgling industry have the upper hand, as producers outnumber retailers in the state and prices continue to crash.
The Herbery will sell a limited quantity of 1/8th (or one eighth of an ounce) for under $40, and other products will have a price range from $12 to $20 a gram, before sales tax, according to Herbery spokeswoman Francine Raften.
The store will carry a variety of marijuana strains including purple amethyst, G13 and Cinex. The Herbery will also have a unique line of cannabis-infused coffee called Catapult.
“It will bring a whole new meaning to the term ‘pot of coffee,’” Raften said.
On Saturday the shop will giving away tickets to an event it is sponsoring, a Valentine’s Day show with Sir Mixalot, at Dante’s in Portland.
